Terms of Service
Last updated 28 July 2026
These terms apply to using ivytrackprep.com and to tutoring and counseling delivered by The Ivy Track. Using the site means you accept them.
What we provide
One-on-one SAT tutoring and college counseling, delivered over Google Meet, together with a practice platform of official-style questions, assignments, and progress reporting. Plans are assembled per student rather than sold as fixed packages, and the scope and fee for each student are agreed directly with the family before work begins.
Booking a strategy session
The introductory strategy session is free and carries no obligation. Booking one reserves time on a real calendar, so if you cannot make it, please reschedule using the link in your confirmation email or let us know.
Accounts
Keep your login details to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has them. Accounts are for the student and their family; please do not share platform content, practice questions, or reports outside that circle. We may suspend an account being used to redistribute our material.
Pricing
Our pricing is firm. We do not offer discounts, promotional rates or price matching under any circumstances, and no member of our team is able to authorise one. The price quoted for a package is the price.
SAT tutoring runs from $1,250 for 20 hours to $3,450 for 60 hours. It is priced on a sliding scale: the hourly rate falls as the package grows, from $62.50 an hour at 20 hours to $60 at 40 and $57.50 at 60, and any hour count in between is priced on that same curve. College counseling is $600 for the main application package, or $80 per hour budgeted at 1.5 hours per school for supplements only. Comprehensive counseling runs from $1,200 for 15 sessions covering 5 supplemental schools to $3,000 for 40 sessions covering 20. BS/MD and Early Guidance programs are quoted from their component hours. Every package is quoted in full and in writing before anything is signed.
The score guarantee
The score guarantee is available on SAT tutoring packages of 40 hours or more. It is not offered on smaller packages, and it is included rather than sold separately.
The target is a 150 point gain on the student's starting score, or a 1500, whichever comes first. The starting score is the student's first full length adaptive practice test on our platform. The target counts as reached by their best score on a later full length adaptive practice test on our platform, taken during their plan. Both ends of that comparison are the same kind of test, so the difference reflects the student's progress rather than a change in difficulty. The Skills Diagnostic is deliberately harder than a standard test, because its job is to find weak skills rather than to produce a score, and it is not used as either end of the guarantee.
If the target is not reached, we continue tutoring at no additional cost until the next official SAT test date. If the student is still below target after that sitting, free tutoring continues until the second official SAT test date. The guarantee is capped at those two test cycles. It is a promise of continued work and not a refund: the package that was paid for is not refunded, and the additional sessions are added once it is complete.
The guarantee depends on the student holding up their side, and is void if they do not. To remain eligible the student must attend every scheduled session — one late cancellation is allowed, and further late cancellations or no-shows end the guarantee — and must complete all assigned homework by the due date the tutor sets. The specific terms for each student are set out in their agreement.
The admissions guarantee
Comprehensive College Counseling and BS/MD counseling are each offered in two tiers. On the standard tier there is no admissions guarantee of any kind. On the guarantee tier we promise a full refund of fees paid — measured differently for each program, as set out below.
Comprehensive College Counseling. The refund applies if the student is not admitted to at least one of the five mutually agreed target schools established with the family during college list creation. Those five schools are agreed in writing at the start of the engagement and form part of the agreement. The guarantee applies to those schools and no others, and cannot be claimed against schools added or substituted later unless we agree to the change in writing.
BS/MD counseling. The refund applies if the student is not admitted to any BS/MD or BS/DO program at all. It is not tied to a named list: an admission to any such program, whether or not it was on the original plan, means the guarantee has been met. This tier additionally requires that the student begins in 9th grade and passes an initial benchmark assessment. We do not offer it to students who start later or who do not meet the benchmark, at any price.
Both refunds depend on the student holding up their side. The student must attend every scheduled session — one late cancellation is allowed, and further late cancellations or no-shows end the guarantee — must complete all assigned work by the due date the counselor sets, and must apply to the full set of programs agreed in their plan.
The guarantee tier is priced differently from the standard tier and is quoted as such. No guarantee of any kind is offered on the main application package or on supplements-only counseling.
What we do not promise
Outside the specific, written admissions guarantee described above, we do not guarantee admission to any college or program. Counseling improves how a student is presented and how well their application is put together. Admissions decisions belong to the schools, and any promise we make is a promise about what we will refund, not about what a university will decide.
We also do not write essays for students. We work with them so the writing is genuinely their own, which is both the right thing to do and what admissions officers are looking for.
Scheduling and cancellations
Sessions are scheduled with your tutor or counselor. Please give as much notice as you can when something needs to move.
Where a package carries the score guarantee, attendance is part of what keeps it valid: every scheduled session must be attended, with one late cancellation allowed before eligibility ends. Any further notice periods and missed-session policy are agreed with your family as part of your plan.
Our material
The roadmaps, frameworks, reports, and platform content on this site belong to The Ivy Track. You may use them for the enrolled student's own preparation. Please do not copy, resell, or publish them. Practice questions modelled on the digital SAT are reproduced for study purposes; the SAT is a trademark of the College Board, which does not endorse and is not affiliated with The Ivy Track.
Liability
We work hard on every student's outcome, but we provide tutoring and guidance rather than any assurance of a particular score or admission result. To the fullest extent the law allows, our liability in connection with the service is limited to the fees paid for it.
Privacy
How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
